So PACE teamed up with the City of Boulder and the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) to help local businesses switch to electric equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The Electric Landscaping Equipment Grant helps small, locally owned landscaping companies switch from loud, gas-powered tools to reliable electric alternatives. Due to high demand, PACE now limits the maximum grant to $5,000. The participant pays the remaining 50% of the equipment cost, plus 100% of the sales tax on the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Some retailers offer an extra 30% discount on qualifying equipment. This comes from the State of Colorado&#8217;s Electric-Powered Lawn Equipment program. Retailers use this discount first, then use the PACE grant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ul-title\"><strong>This year, we&#8217;re awarding grants through a simple lottery process. Many residents and HOAs prefer landscapers who use quiet electric equipment instead of loud gas-powered models. So PACE teamed up with the City of Boulder and the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) to help local businesses switch to electric equipment. The Electric Landscaping Equipment Grant helps small, locally owned landscaping companies switch from loud, gas-powered tools to reliable electric alternatives.
